Description
A classic example of the vintage displayed in the wine. The 2008 mirrors the very dry and warm ripening season, very firm and dry tannin well distributed through the palate, with concentrated small berry fruit. Some developed caramelised stone fruit characters complement the jubey red plum flavours. Still youthful and vibrant overall, drinking well but will also last the test of time.
Winemaking Notes
All components of this blend were fermented to dryness on skins and subsequently
left on skins for a further three weeks before being pressed. All pressings have been
returned to the wine. It then spent 24 months in new American oak in our coolroom
before blending, fining, filtering and bottling in August 2010.
