Description

The wine shows a great concentration and intensity of passionfruit pulp, stone fruits, ripe citrus and fresh sage with a generous body and texture and precise acidity across the palate.

Very drinkable and extremely recommended to have with food.

Winemaking Notes

The fruit was harvested in the cool of the early morning, gently pressed and the juice separated and cold settled before undergoing a steady fermentation at cold temperatures for two weeks. The resulting wine was then cold and protein stabilized, filtered and bottled in a dry style with seamless residual sugar. The generous fruit concentration and fruit sweetness is just one of its highlights.

We like to experiment at Mr Mick and that is not new. After the successful releases of the Vermentino and Pinot Grigio a few years ago, the new kid in town is Fiano.

The 2024 Mr.Mick Fiano is the very first release of this exciting Italian white variety and the result of careful planning by Tim Adams and his team in the last few years. With its origin in the southern region of Campania in Italy, Fiano adopted Australia as its second ‘international’ home and it is proving to have a great and natural adaptability to the growing conditions of the Clare Valley.
