Description

The blend of four Clare Valley vineyards has produced a wine with strong regional and varietal definition. The wine has a lively deep purple hue with aromas and flavours of violet, blackberry and mulberry. Further complexity is built through 24 months of American oak maturation. The front and mid-palate is full and soft, with flavours of small berry fruit and spice complemented by the oak. The wine finishes with integrated oak and firm, structural tannins, brought about by the warm, dry ripening period leading in to the 2014 vintage. "This elegant Clare Shiraz has power and finesse which makes it both approachable now and worthy of keeping for up to 10 years." Tim said

"The 2014 vintage in the Clare Valley felt positive from the word go, with picking occurring in a timely manner and the flavour profiles, natural acidity, colour and tannin in the reds looking fantastic at an early stage", Winemaker Brett Schutz said.
