Winemaking Notes
Spicy cinnamon and clove characters lead the blue fruits and red cherries on the nose and palate. Balanced acidity and fruit richness keep the wine fresh and approachable with silky tannins and a length of rhubarb and ripe berries with a hint of fragrant stone fruit.
Growing Conditions
A very challenging year in the vineyard with lower than average rainfall in the growing period and high rainfall just prior to picking. Average temperatures through the whole growing season and a cooler and wetter February lead to a rich, yet elegant style.
