ELEGANT, LEAN: Tim Adams 2007 Reserve Riesling John Lewis, The Herald (Newcastle) , December 2008 The inaugural 2006 version of this wine was my top riesling of 2007 and the 2007 is in the same elegant, lean mould. It is olive-green-tinged pale straw in the glass and has scents of green apple peel and thyme. Crisp, fresh grapefruit flavour shows on the front of the palate and mineral, lime marmalade and light spice characters chime in on the middle palate. Taut steely acid comes through at the finish. |
